Holistic Wildlife and Habitat Management in Southern and Central Ohio

What we do

Conservation Contracting, LLC is a fully licensed and insured conservation and wildlife habitat business located in southern Ohio. Rather then focus on one or two components, we understand big picture land and wildlife management and use a holistic approach in our methods. From the microbial materials in the soil to Monarch Butterflies and Whitetail Deer, we understand the interconnections of nature and believe that we must work hard to take care of the entire living web. We are not interested in what is popular or politically correct, we are only interested in what is “right.” As the father of wildlife management, Aldo Leopold, correctly stated… “A thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, stability and beauty of the biotic community. It is wrong when it tends otherwise.”

“Our mission at Conservation Contracting is to restore a conservation ethic back into southern and central Ohio. We work with a wide variety of landowners to complete conservation projects in our region. Our drive simply comes from our pursuit to create better native habitat across our landscape. Our logo- A Bobwhite Quail flushing from a Purple Coneflower- serves as a stark reminder of what we have to lose if we fail in our our duty to instill a conservation ethic back into our community. I would love the opportunity to share my love of the land on your land- with you. “

  • “I’m really glad I made the phone call to Seth for an invasive removal effort. He was very friendly and knowledgeable when doing our walk-through of the worksite. We were both very surprised to find an infestation of Chinese Wisteria amongst honeysuckle, autumn olive and privet but he was very optimistic, and through his efforts, the work area will be a lot more manageable this year. We look forward to working with Seth in the near future!”

  • " This service is a good idea in the urban market as well as rural areas. I had several years of accumulated noxious, invasive Honeysuckle next to an apartment building. This was eliminated in one trip, and it now looks much better. This is healthier for the structure and the neighborhood. I’m glad I did business with this company."

  • I can't say enough good things about Conservation Contracting. Seth's guidance and expert implementation of conservation measures, including establishing a native meadow and removing invasive plants, have significantly advanced our habitat restoration goals on our farm. Seth is conscientious, hard-working, and knowledgeable about the latest science and technology for land management.

There are two things that interest me: the relation of people to each other, and the relation of people to land.”
